The Phoenix Theatre is casting a girl (stage age: 10 years old) for a small multi-character role in its production of The Pillowman. Performance dates for the show are Thursdays - Sundays May 11 - June 11, 2006; rehearsals for the girl will begin the week of May 1. The Pillowman is the story of two brothers – one a writer of gruesome Grimm Brother-style fairy tales, which the other might be acting out in real life. The play enjoyed an acclaimed Broadway run and is intended for adult audiences. The Pillowman was written by Martin McDonough, the Academy Award-winning author of The Beauty Queen of Leenane. This is a paid role.
