I was thinking perhaps Brenda Upchurch for Cami, also....(if they ignore that she should sing well at the end).

We'll have to see what the dates finally turn out to be on both shows before anything's a certainty! When is the Hit Parade show? (BCP hasn't decided yet on show dates for Souvenir.)

Susan - I fell in love with the piece when I first heard about it - before I'd ever seen any of it. I've always loved Florence Foster Jenkins (I can honestly say I own her recordings, both on vinyl AND on CD!), and I'm a big fan of Judy Kaye, who created the role on and off-Broadway. Then, I read the script, and saw the play twice (in Chicago and in Bloomington), and just loved it more and more each time....I'm excited to have another dream role so soon after "Producers"....the scariest part of "Souvenir" for me is having to play so much music from memory! Definitely not my forte! But, I was so excited when Scott asked me...and I can't wait to get started learning all the music...not to mention tons of lines! It's such a touching play - really sneaks up on you with the "meaning."

Thanks so much! I had such a great time doing the show. I'm starting to look for roles that suit me all over town when my schedule allows (having six kids, that's not too often!)

Thanks so much, SPF. You're always so kind. I wish that I had known you were out there so I could have said hi afterwards. The script hit pretty close to events in my own life, so as Ringo sang, "all I had to do was act naturally." Keep me posted about shows you're going to be in so I can come see you.
