Open Auditions for Footlite Musicals' Young Adults Production of "All Shook Up"
Footlite Musicals will conduct open auditions for its Young Adults Production of "All Shook Up" Saturday, May 15, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, May 16, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Auditions will be held at the theatre's home, the Hedback Community Theater, 1847 North Alabama Street, Indianapolis, IN.
The musical will open Footlite’s 55th season with performances July 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17 and 18. All roles are open to all individuals 18 to 25 years old. Any 18 year olds should be 2010 spring high school graduates, and 17 year olds who graduate this spring may also audition. Auditioners are asked to prepare 16 to 32 bars of any Broadway song, bring dance clothes, a complete list of conflicts and be prepared to read. The musical will be directed by Kathleen Clarke Horrigan.

“All Shook Up,” with a book by Joe DiPietro and music by Elvis Presley and various artists, is based on William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night.”
This rollicking musical, set in the Midwest during the 1950s, is a great way to kick of the summer. All about mistaken identities, youthful rebellion and love, the musical features such Presley classics as “Jailhouse Rock,” “Heartbreak Hotel,” “That‘s All Right,” “It‘s Now Or Never,” “Love Me Tender,” “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Don‘t Be Cruel,” “Can‘t Help Falling In Love“ and “All Shook Up.”
