I i'm 13 years old and i really want to get into musical theater. My choir teacher and everyone says i would be great but i don't know how to get started. SO can anyone give my any hints on how they got started or what are good acting schools are.

I would suggest doing some community theatre shows and then pursuing your education from there. It 's important as you're applying to theatre schools that you have some stage experience under your belt so to speak.
Most of the area community theatres do younger actor productions during the summer months. For example Carmel Community Players is doing Cinderella. I believe The Belfry has a summer production as well. Footlite too. Civic usually does also. They also have Junior Civic which I've heard is a good program.
As to education opportunities - North Western in Evanston, Illinois (outside Chicago) has a highly regarded theatre school. Also the University of Illinois has an outstanding musical theatre department.
I'm sure others on this group can make even more recommendations.

The Belfry, in Noblesville, is doing "Once Upon a Mattress" for 13 to 20 year olds. Watch this site for auditions in May.

At the age of 13 I was doing shows in school, but never thought about finding anything outside of that.
