"BECKY'S NEW CAR" opens at Mud Creek Players on 9/16/11
Mud Creek Theater Season Opener is Romantic Comedy at its Best
Becky’s New Car opens Friday, September 16, at Mud Creek Theater. This Steven Dietz play is a hilarious, touching, romantic comedy about a middle-aged Everywoman named Becky. Playing on the classic mistaken-identity premise, the play takes the audience on quite a ride as Becky steers her life in a new direction. Becky is caught in middle age, middle management and in a middling marriage-with no prospect for change on the horizon. Becky’s New Car is a thoroughly original comedy with serious overtones; a devious and delightful romp down the road not taken.
The play will be presented Friday and Saturday nights, September 16 through October 1, at 8 pm with a matinee Sunday, September 25, at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $12 for all evening performances and the matinee is $10. Reservations are recommended by calling 317-290-5343 or visiting mudcreekplayers.org. The theater is located at 9740 East 86th Street in Indianapolis, at the corner of Mud Creek Road and 86th Street.
The next show in the Mud Creek Theater season is “Afraid Of The Dark” by James Reach, opening November 18, 2011. Mud Creek Theater is proud to celebrate over 60 years of presenting theatrical productions on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
