The monster under the bed sounds interesting. I wouldn't mind trying for the monster. What kind of combat would you require? I'm athletic and have trained myself in nin-jutsu so I may be able to help you out. my email is Hatakebrandon@att.net so you can send me whatever information you need and describe some of the combat
I also wanted to add that I am the writer and director of "The Clockwork Man", which was originally a stage play and I was awarded the 2007 Basile Playwriting Fellowship through the Indiana Theatre Association for the stage play; also in 2007 it was selected and produced during the first BloomingPlays Festival at the Bloomington Playwrights Project. If anyone is interested in knowing more please, feel free to contact me.
Here are some further fact: sides will be provided the day of the auditions but please, be sure to e-mail us to set up an audition time if you are interested in auditioning. Headshots and resumes are strongly encouraged so that we may easily reference who each of you are as we cast the productions. If you have further questions, please, feel free to contact us.
These are student films thus the only compensation that we may offer is a DVD for your reel. However, I would point out that IU is one of five schools in the Nation that is teaching 3D at this time and add to that the fact that these films are guaranteed to screen as part of the 3D Student Film Showcase at IU Cinema May 1st, 2012 at 6:30pm and we hope that is compensation enough.
The auditions are on the Feb 12th. These scripts are both less than 10mins in length. I am the line producer on "Monster Under the Bed" and the director is planning to have one day of rehearsal before shooting on February 25th and 26th. I am the Director of "The Clockwork Man" and I hope to work with whomever I cast two or three nights a week, pending on their schedule, before we shoot and we are scheduled to shoot on March 3 and 4th.
The material "The Clockwork Man" is very dense and that is why I wish to rehearse the material quite a bit before we film. The film is much like a Twilight Zone episode and is being filmed in a German Expressionist style. Abby (the little girl) is a manifestation of a younger version of Gail (the older woman) and Abby helps Gail deal with death before dying. I personally want to make sure that the actors in "The Clockwork Man" are able to connect emotionally and have all of the acting work in place, beyond line memorization before we shoot.
