Shawnee Professional Summer Theatre Auditions and Technical Interviews at the Phoenix Theatre!

PSA:
The Phoenix Theatre will be hosting auditions for Shawnee Summer Theatre. Shawnee is the longest continuously-running professional theatre in Indiana and is located in Bloomfield Indiana, about one hour south of Bloomington, and about an hour and a half from Indianapolis. Employment dates begin May 19 th and run through August 7th. Actors and technicians are hired primarily for the entire summer with some job-ins for certain shows on a two to three week basis. Housing is provided for the summer. Auditions will be held at the Phoenix Theatre on March 11 th from Noon until 4pm. Technical interviews can be scheduled independently. Actors should prepare two monologues not exceeding 3 minutes and bring headshots and resumes. Technicians should bring resumes and references. I've known folks who have had pretty good experiences with Shawnee. It's an especially good opportunity, I understand, for younger aspiring pros. (Though, of course, they are looking for all ages.)

Also, Matt Graber, their new AD, is a good guy with some good ideas. The nature of summer stock being what it is, he'll have crowd-pleasers on the schedule, but I know he'll be making some interesting choices even within that category.

And, hey . . . it's paid.
