Actors Theatre of Indiana will hold audition appointments for non-equity strong juvenile singer/actor/dancers and singer/actors who move well for its 2012-2013 season opener production of GYPSY written by Arthur Laurents, music by Jule Styne and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.

Where do I park? Do I have to pay?
The parking garage is located across from the south entrance to the Palladium, just off of 3rd Avenue SW. There is no charge for parking. See www.thecenterfortheperformingarts.org for garage location details. Click on "plan a visit".

Where do I enter?
The auditions will take place in the rehearsal room of The Studio Theater. Access to the backstage area is located through the double doors on the main level of the parking garage. Signs will be posted. If you park on a level higher that the first floor, take the elevator to the first floor, which will take you directly to the lobby of The Studio Theater. Turn left and go down the hallway towards the parking garage entrance. Exit through the galss doors and turn left. Enter through the backstage double doors and sign in with the monitor. If available, you may take the hallway to the left through the Civic Rehearsal Studios to reach the backstage area of The Studio Theater and sign in with the monitor.

Times:
10 am - 2 PM Male and Female Juvenile Singer / Actors / Dancers AND Singer / Actors who move well. A monitor will be provided.
2 PM - Callbacks (you may be asked to move / dance / read / sing from the score / script).

Contract dates: Rehearsals begin Tuesday August 14 and are mandatory - scheduling will be assembled based on casting. Technical rehearsals are September 4, 5, 6, and 7 and are mandatory and are scheduled during the days and evenings. Performance dates: September 7 - 30, 2012 at The Studio Theater at the Center for the Performing Arts (Wednesday & Thursday performances at 7:30 PM; Friday and Saturday performances at 8:00 PM, Sunday performances at 2:00 PM with opening Saturday performances at 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM). Times and dates subject to change.

Contract:
All positions paid.

Seeking:
Male and female juvenile actors/singers/dancers and actors/singers who move well ages 10 - 18 for the following roles:

Preparation:
Please prepare a song in the style of traditional musical theatre repertoire in the correct key with sheet music properly marked and your picture and resume stapled together. An accompanist will be provided. You may be asked to read from the script. For those who are asked to come back to dance / move, please wear comfortable clothing.
