    AEA OR Non-Union AUDITION NOTICE – "GYPSY" – Seeking the role of Tulsa

    These auditions are open to Non-Union OR Equity performers but must be secured with an appointment time by calling or emailing ATI. Details below.
    Actors Theatre of Indiana will hold audition appointments for Non-Union OR Equity dancer / singer / actor auditions for the role of Tulsa in ATI’s upcoming production of "GYPSY”.

    Contract dates: Rehearsals begin Tuesday August 14 and are mandatory - scheduling will be assembled based on casting. Technical rehearsals are September 4, 5, 6, and 7 and are mandatory and are scheduled during the days and evenings. Performance dates: September 7 - 30, 2012 at The Studio Theater at the Center for the Performing Arts (Wednesday &Thursday performances at 7:30 PM; Friday and Saturday performances at 8:00 PM, Sunday performances at 2:00 PM with opening Saturday performances at 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM). Times and dates subject to change.

    Contract:
    Position paid. AEA: SPT Tier 4.

    Seeking:

    Non-Union OR Equity dancer / singer / actor who can play early twenties the role of Tulsa in ATI’s upcoming production of "GYPSY”. Actor needs to be able to sing and sustain a high G. He sings the song “All I Need Is the Girl”.

    Preparation:
    Please prepare a song in the style of traditional musical theatre repertoire in the correct key with sheet music properly marked and your picture and resume stapled together. An accompanist will be provided. You may be asked to read from the script. For those who are asked to come back to dance, please wear comfortable clothing.
