Can you tell us what ages you are looking for? Are there any roles for teens or children?

Hi Willie -- No, you don't need to read all the histories to understand the show. The story is complete and thrilling all by itself. For those like me who like the small details you can dive in to the following plays -- The story begins with Richard II, then Henry IV parts 1&2, then Henry V, then all three parts of Henry VI. But such research is not required for enjoyment and participation with the show. We are getting a lot of interest. The cast is large. It is a beautiful state of the art theater for a very exciting play. Come be a part of this production! - Glenn

Can you tell me when we'll be rehearsing? I have another show I'd like to audition for someplace else, but I don't want schedules to interfere.

Thank you for your inquiry! We will be rehearsing M & W for two weeks in November and two weeks in December. From January on, our TENTATIVE rehearsal schedule will be 4 days a week. The role you receive may not require as much rehearsal time in the beginning. There will be one required Saturday for fight choreography. As we all know, these schedules are always subject to change. Hope this helps.

You NEED to read 1-4, however, if you are serious about your craft and Shakespeare, you SHOULD read 1-4. Actors should read and research as much as they can before auditioning. Remember, the more you have to pull from, to build a character from, the better your chance of getting the role. If a director sees an actor prepared, it does enhance their work ethic, and THAT does mean a whole heck of a lot in casting.

    Just my 2 cents.

Oh, and don't forget to read the actual play you are auditioning for. I can't tell you how many times actors, amateur or pros, don't read the play. That is just stupid!
