Purple Crayon is putting together their season. We are looking for smaller shows (under 7 cast members with limited scenery).
Anyone have any suggestions of shows that would like to see done in town?
What Mamet has been done recently?
Woody Allen?

I know of a production of Glenngarry five years ago, I think.
I prefer Speed the Plow. I don't think Oleanna has been done around here, but I could be wrong.
Allen's Don't drink the water is done around here occaissionally. I don't know if there are others. I think he's a little dated, myself.

Phoenix did Boston Marriage in Jan 2004, whilst the Beckmann theatre (Oh, Beckmann, where art thou?) did American Buffalo. Other than that, I don't know about much Mamet being done around here lately.
Matt Graber informed me that the Shawnee theatre (summer stock company in Greene county) will be doing a Woody Allen comedy this summer, but I'm not sure which.
I'd love to talk to you offline about your plans and hopes for this new company sometime. (Having a small company of my own, I'm always on the lookout for fellow crazies . . . er, entrepreneurs.)

No, crazies is the right word.
We are looking at a night of one acts called "Death Defying Acts." It has 3 one acts by Mamet, Woody Allen and Elaine May.
Also, either "Impossible Marriage" by Beth Henley or "Perfect Wedding" by Robin Hawdon in the May slot, both are Wedding themed farces.
First this season will be the new Reduced Shakespeare Company show, "All the Great Books (abridged)"
But we are still open to anything

I know someone just did Impossible Marriage at the Alley last spring. Not sure if anyone saw it, though.
