    The Exorcism of Emily Rose

Well, I looked at the website, and imbd...all the previews look pretty scary. I'm not easily scared, so that's saying a lot. I either find most horror movies creepy or suspenseful, but not really scary. The only two movies I found to be scary were "The Shining" and (oh, this is a surprise, LOL!) "The Exorcist." Well, I have to back track...when I was little, "Poltergeist" scared me as well as "Salem's Lot."

At any rate, what's everyone else's opinion...does it look to be scary, or a modern day "The Exorcist?"

Oh, by the way, I'm not the world's best speller, so please forgive me if my spelling...sucks.

I think I'll skip this one-- im incredibly jumpy. i really just cant get over the fact that there is a girl named Emily Rose that goes to my school and who is also quite involved in the Indy theatre community at large--> creepy no?
If theatre had nothing to do with life, we wouldn\'t need it. &&The theatre is there to stimulate our experience of life, to increase &&it, to make it richer, to make it more than we ever understood

Is that the Emily Rose who was "Johanna" in Buck Creek's "Sweeney Todd" this past season? I'm sure the two Emily Roses are just coincidental. Little Emily from "Sweeney" is just too sweet and innocent.

Looks scary as Hell to me!

Silence of the Lambs, The Exorcist scare me and the orginal mini series Helter Skelter gave me nightmares when I was young. I have to admit, I found Blair Witch pretty scary when I first saw it in the theater. Probably wouldn't have near the same effect on video or on a second veiwing.

Actually in the theater... both my wife and I thought Blair Witch was rather tame... but watching it at home with the lights off raised the creepyness factor.

I turned off the TV at the end of the film and we sat in the dark for a few mintues. I couldn't convince her to get up to turn the lights on. It was hillarious.

Hey, I wanted to let you all know I saw the movie over the weekend. I found it to be very good. It was not nearly as scary as I expected it to be, though. Don't get me wrong, it had scary parts, just not terrifying like "The Exorcist." I really liked the courtroom aspect of it. I would recommend seeing it...but it's not necessarily a must see in the theatre.
