The seminal event in American history blazes to vivid life in this most unconventional of Broadway hits. It's the summer of 1776, and the nation is ready to declare independence... if only our founding fathers can agree to do it!

"1776" puts a human face on the pages of history as we see the men behind the national icons: proud, frightened, uncertain, irritable, charming, often petty and ultimately noble figures determined to do the right thing for a fledgling nation. The show features a striking score by Sherman Edwards and a book by Peter Stone, which is legendary in its craftsmanship. "1776" is a funny, insightful and compelling drama.

We had to shift when we are going to see the show from this weekend to next.

Trying to get a group together from Cuckoo's Nest to come out to see the show. Supporting Rob Wesley - our wonderful Mr. Harding.

If any from IA would like to tag along - the more the merrier. Thinking of dinner before hand at The Elbow Room.

I think we have a group going next Friday night - and if not a group, my hubby is taking me on a date night to see the show.

Can't wait to hear "Momma Look Sharp" - does the Courrier have the voice for it in this show?
